In 2004 during the home going of our Dear Relative, Florence Redd Johnson in St Paul, MN, Cousin Andrew Redd and The Late James Forte, Jr. had a serious conversation concerning forming The Redd Family Reunion.
James Forte(JT) approached us individually and the answer was overwhelming. The 1st formative gathering was done in Philadelphia, PA, which was suggested by Maryetta Wesley where her Father, The Late Cousin Thomas Cooke resided since he was the oldest relative at that time. In July of 2005 we met in Philadelphia to organize The Redd Family Reunion and since then we have gathered in the following cities and country:

All family and friends are welcome to all of our family events and meetings. Our goal is to promote the importance of keeping family close. There is no membership fee to be a part of the association. However, we strongly advocate the important of pay dues for the dues help fund all family events. We also use some the funds collected to help pay for family funeral expenses, and donations for causes
