The Redd, Franklin, Ricks and Davis families announce with deep sadness the homegoing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Deacon J. Andrew Redd. This sad event occurred on December 25, 2020 at his residence in Rockville, Maryland, United States of America.

Deacon J. Andrew Redd was born February 22, 1936, to the union of Elijah Redd and Esther Franklin Redd of Fortsville, Grand Bassa County, Liberia. Deacon Redd embraced Christianity at an early age and was ordained Deacon at Providence Baptist Church in Liberia, West Africa. He attended Fortsville Elementary School in Grand Bassa County and later attended Laboratory High School in Monrovia where he graduated with honors. He was later promoted to Deputy Minister for Administration for a year and then subsequently promoted to Auditor General of the Republic of Liberia. Due to the civil crisis in Liberia in 1990, J. Andrew Redd emigrated to the United States of America, where he lived until his homegoing.

Deacon J. Andrew Redd was first married to Musu Kamara Redd, but the marriage was later dissolved after many years. Andrew later married Daisy Ricks Redd, which lasted until his demise.
